The property
LAND :
The land is 6,835 sqm and it is possible to build on the entire surface area. It is a breathtaking fenced garden adorned with a lot of shrubs, trees, some evergreen, flower beds and rockeries.
In addition to the house and the backyard, the property also includes:

A swimming pool : 5m wide x 10m long surrounded by a large deactivated concrete area and a pergola.

A tennis court with a porous concrete surface.

A pond which collects the rain water running from the tennis court.

There is also a small wooden shed which becomes a children’s playhouse in summertime. It is used to store the garden furniture in the winter.

Other trees such as: oak, Austrian pine (2), maple, magnolia, sweet gum trees (3); hazel trees, ornemental plum trees (4) as well as 3 birch trees and a willow around the pond; wild strawberries.
A gardener takes care of the maintenance twice a month but I cut the grass myself: currently, I use a Husqvarna rider lawnmower with a front-mounted cutting deck and articulated steering. It is a very practical machine and it takes no more than 2 hours to mow the lawn.
Grass trimming, hedge trimming and pruning are handled by the gardener.
If you don’t have dogs, there is a variety of animals around such as semi-wild cats, turtledoves, great tits who live nearby, a green woodpecker, the occasional pheasant, squirrels, deers and hedgehogs at night. We do not mind the cats as they take care of the mice, shrews, etc… which had been damaging the lower beds years ago.
Privacy, view
The house is set in a really pleasant surroundings with a beautiful all round view: there is not and never will be a house blocking the view right opposite on the side of the "Monts du lyonnais" on the other side of the Rhône valley.
The Mont-Blanc can actually be seen on the east side in very good weather conditions and you can see the lights of the city of Lyon at night on the northwest side.
We have totally unobstructed views.
In fact, the property is perfectly private as no one can see (voluntarily or not) into the terrace, the swimming pool or the tennis court.
